The Legal Stuff

I understand that if contracted to work for The County Merchant I will be required to agree to and sign an Independent Contractor's Agreement. (See summary below)

I am at least 18 years old and eligible to work legally in the United States of America. I understand that if contracted to work for The County Merchant I will be required to submit documents verifying my age and eligibility. (Driver's License or ID)

Quick Summary of the County Merchant Manager's Agreement

  • 1. You will be an independent contractor, not an employee.
  • 2. You will be paid commission on sales, not a salary.
  • 3. You may accept checks or credit cards from your clients. All payments must be processed immediately.
  • 4. You must be loyal to the company and honest with clients.
  • 5. You can sell our services anywhere in the US.
  • 6. You are responsible for the actions of your sales personnel and other staff while on the job.
  • 7. The County Merchant does not pay your staff - you do.
  • 8. You may not disclose your login information to anyone.
  • 9. You may not compete with the County Merchant.
  • 10. You may not use telemarketing as a sales tool unless it is legal in your area.
  • 11. You will forfeit your position if you are inactive for 30 days.
  • 12. The County Merchant agrees to help you whenever possible within reason.
  • 13. The County Merchant will provide printable documents for you to use.
  • 14. The County Merchant offers no formal sales training.
  • 15. You will have to prove your identity and employment eligibility to the County Merchant.
